Nordkalk Well lime is locally produced, crushed, and screened limestone (calcium carbonate CaCO3). The product is sanitized through heat treatment. Limestone alkalization is suitable for treating acidic and soft well water. There is no risk of harmful overdosing to health when using the product. However, limestone gravel is not a solution to all well water quality problems, which can, for example, result from the poor condition of the well or surface water leaking into it. To ensure good drinking water quality, we recommend, if necessary, repairing the well with a professional and conducting a water analysis before adding limestone gravel.
